The way a restaurant introduces you to the main meal is through a starter. If the starter is delicious the main course will probably tickle your taste buds too. But some starters just stand out as some of the best food I've ever eaten. So here are my top 3 starters I've tried worldwide.

1) Lobster Potstickers: These delicious coconut coated skewers were from the Ocean House in Oahu. On the menu they are known as Coconut Lobster Skewers and they come with a sweet chili lime sauce.

2) Parmesan Cheese Croquettes with a tomato sauce: The rich cheesy croquettes are perfectly complemented by the tomato sauce and fresh salad provided on the side. This quickly became one of my favorite starters after first trying it at La Brasserie at the Bahia Del Duque in Tenerife.

3) Fritto Misto: I have mentioned this dish before on my Venice Food post but it is one my favorite starters so I decided to mention it again. I had this dish every night of my Venice trip at the Sagra Rooftop Restaurant at the JW Marriott Resort and it was delicious.

I hope you enjoyed my top 3 starters across the world. It's made me think more about the variety of food you can try across the globe. Thanks for reading and don't forget to subscribe!
