The Perfect Pasta

Writer's picture: Donny Marco BarnesDonny Marco Barnes

Italian food is some of my favorite food to eat regularly. Pizza, pasta, ice cream. I love it all! But a good bowl of pasta is really enjoyable even if it is a struggle to wind up on your fork! On my many travels I have tried lots of variations of different pastas. Surprisingly the pasta I tried in Italy wasn't one of my favorites but not to worry. Here are my three favorite pastas I've eaten on my travels.

La Trattoria, pasta, tenerife

1.Tagliatelle with zucchini, cream and prawns: I ate this dish at La Trattoria which is an Italian restaurant at the Bahía del Duque Resort in Tenerife. It is at the top of my list because it was really tasty and I loved the zucchini and prawn combination and thought it was really interesting. It was also a creamy pasta which I like.

2. Ravioli Marittimi: This fishy pasta was a ravioli with crayfish, crab, salmon and ricotta in a rich tomato sauce and it was really delicious If you haven't seen my Best Italian Restaurant in Bournemouth post where I mention this dish go check it out because I go into more detail on this topic.

3. Traditional Lasagna: A good classic lasagna is sometimes all you need to satisfy your rumbling stomach. I had just this when I went to Locale Southbank in London. It was just a simple but excellent lasagna!

Okay that's it for this post but I hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget to subscribe for more travel posts. Thanks for reading!
