Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog for another post. This time I've got 7 tips for you all on surviving London at Christmas Time. This will be a collection of tips regarding accommodation, transport and attractions, so enjoy!

1) Don't visit on Christmas Eve: Try to visit at least a week before Christmas Day. It will still be incredibly busy but there won't be any last minute Christmas shopping crowds to avoid.

2) Make it a short trip: I visited for 4 days during December and that was long enough! Any longer and the Christmas-craving crowds will give you a right headache.

3) Book your accommodation in advance: One of the most important parts about traveling to London is booking the accommodation in advance, this is especially essential during the festive season. Hotels are fully booked months in advance and to get what you want you need to book early. I stayed at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge which I really recommend. It wasn't a cheap stay but it was definitely worth the money.

4)Walk EVERYWHERE: This is dependent on the weather but if its not raining, walk everywhere. Don't bother taking a taxi during the day as its super busy and you'll miss out on lots of interesting places you wouldn't see while travelling in a taxi. If you are more comfortable taking a taxi at night though there is nothing wrong with that because it can often be the safest option.

5) Photography is not the focus: When you travel somewhere you want to experience the place, not just take photos of it. Even as a travel blogger and Instagrammer my main focus is not to get a million photos to post, its to enjoy the trip. So make sure that when your exploring London you don't spend all your time hitting up all the famous photos spots and try to really enjoy the city.

6) Go to a Christmas event: It is the holidays after all so why shouldn't you? I went to see The Royal Ballet's The Nutcracker which I briefly mentioned in my Christmas in Covent Garden post. I'm not much of a ballet fan but the show definitely got me in the festive spirit.

7) Enjoy the lights: At Christmas time London is lit up with the most beautiful seasonal decorations everywhere you go. I personally loved Carnaby Street and Regent Street but there are so many more wonderfully decorated spots for you to explore!

That's it for this post. If you have any more tips or advice for anyone traveling to London at Christmas time, please let me know. Before we finish I want to give a mention to one of the lovely cafes I ate at while in Covent Garden. This was Le Pain Quotidien. It was a lovely little place to have coffee and an organic blueberry muffin before exploring the city. So if you're in London I recommend going there!
